1. Why should I buy a fireplace safety screen?

To improve the safety of your fireplace and to give your fireplace a slight makeover. If you have a typical gas fireplace, the glass on the front of your gas fireplace gets very hot, hot enough to burn you. Children are especially at risk of burns. They are curious and can accidentally fall into, or reach out and touch the glass because it is installed at ground level and easily accessible to them.

2. Where do you ship?

We ship our screens anywhere in the USA and Canada.

3. Why is each safety screen custom made and not just an “in stock” item?

There are more than 25 different gas fireplace manufacturers and each manufacturer has many different fireplace models. They have also changed the specifications of their fireplaces over the years so it is impossible to have a database of accurate sizes for each model number. Also, once your builder installed your fireplace, they most likely trimmed out around the actual firebox with tile, marble, granite or some type of facing material and many times this makes the actual height and width smaller. That is why we have an easy to complete order form for you to use when measuring for your safety screen. We also offer a video, on our website, on how to measure your fireplace.

4. What is the lead time?

The lead time is 3 weeks for production and 1 week for shipping.

5. How do I pay for my screen and what credit cards to you accept?

After we review your photos and measuring form, we finalize your screen size and send you a formal estimate with final pricing and measurements. You will sign our Estimate and email it to us and then we will call you for your credit card information. Once payment is received, we will begin manufacturing your custom made safety screen. We accept Visa and Mastercard.

6. Are there color choices?

Black is the only finish we offer today.

7. What are your screens made out of?

All our safety screens are made using steel frames and high quality steel mesh.

8. Are your screens difficult to install?

Using our exclusive rare earth magnets, your safety screen will install in about 60 seconds. The most time consuming part is just taking it out of the box. On our website we have a video that shows how to install your Simple Safety Screen.
